Digests, Threads, and Sharing

Digests, Threads, and Sharing

In this week's update on Bram Adams' channel, Bram introduces a new video format similar to Loom, focusing on three features he's been developing: Digests, Threads, and Share. First, the Daily Digest feature leverages language models to summarize daily entries into an email newsletter format, combining internal system content with internet searches. It aims to help users discover and organize content that might not already exist in their own systems.

The Threads feature improves upon the graph view, which can become visually overwhelming. Inspired by Reddit and Hacker News, Threads organizes data into threaded lists for easier navigation. This allows users to explore large datasets without feeling overwhelmed, offering functionalities like full-text search and a copy markdown feature to track navigation history.

Lastly, the Share and Collections page will act as a social media counterpart for CommonBase, with QR codes on flyers that direct users to static entries. This feature aims to engage users on campuses and museums, allowing them to explore curated collections without needing to log in, and encourage sign-ups for CommonBase. Bram also briefly showcases a chat feature that combines his system's flexibility with web searches, although it's still in progress. Overall, the features are designed to enhance user interaction and data navigation while preparing for a production rollout.
